SSE is recruiting a Senior IT/OT Operations Manager (Telecoms & Connectivity) to lead IT/OT telecoms across Distribution assets. The role focuses on resilience, security, and long‑term investment planning, with travel between Perth, Glasgow and Havant as required.

You will report to the Head of Operational Technology & Telecoms, managing internal and third‑party teams, budgets and delivery of complex programmes across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of telecoms systems and networks, ideally in OT environments.
• Understanding of engineering and cyber security risk assessment and mitigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with clear technical documents.
• Proven management experience in OT, telecoms or systems and leading multidisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Support the development of the Distribution digital strategy as a member of the OT & Telecoms Leadership Team.
• Manage internal and third-party Telecoms & Connectivity teams, including budgets and succession planning.
• Oversee systems from the network boundary, ensuring resilience and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee system improvements and upgrades; define network standards and verify requirements.
• Collaborate with Cyber Security Manager to meet security requirements and incident response plans.
