Senior IT Manager – Maintaining and ensuring optimal performance of our IT infrastructure and systems with minimal downtime to end users. Apply now!

Responsibilities

• Oversee all technical IT operations, including infrastructure, networks, systems, backups, disaster recovery and security.
• Lead and mentor the IT team, ensuring high performance and professional development.
• Monitor and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and systems.
• Manage our current cloud environments and accelerate our migration to Microsoft Azure.
• Ensure system availability, performance, and resilience through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Perform regular systems updates, often out of hours.
• Implement IT processes, procedures and policies.
• Technical contact with vendors and dealing with escalations.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in IT, 3 of which in management or senior technical leadership roles.
• Proven experience managing cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
• Strong understanding of networking, virtualization, and security principles.
• Experience with ITIL frameworks and service management best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certifications, ITIL) are desirable.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
• Skilled at building lasting bonds across the business and delivering technology solutions with care and respect.
• Forward-looking, inquisitive, and proactive in finding smarter, more secure, and efficient ways to enable the firm and its clients through technology.
• Confident in owning decisions and outcomes, delivering high-quality IT solutions and acting as a reliable extension of the leadership team.
• Collaborative, with ability to work across departments and locations, and to foster strong vendor/external partner relationships.
• Passionate about developing the IT team and helping the wider business unlock its potential through technology.

Desirable Skills

• Experience with hybrid cloud environments and on-premises infrastructure.
• Knowledge of compliance and security frameworks (GDPR, Cyber Essentials).
• Experience within a professional services firm.
• Familiarity with automation tools and DevOps practices.
• Experience working with multi-site organisations.
