Standard Life in the UK is seeking a Senior IT Internal Audit Manager to lead a portfolio of IT audits across cyber, IT operations, resilience and data governance. The role combines strong autonomy with collaboration, delivering end-to-end audits to agreed timelines and managing relationships with key stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have IT audit leadership experience, professional qualifications such as CISA, and a proven ability to influence senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Leadership of IT audit teams with end-to-end delivery.
• Strong knowledge of Cyber, IT Operations, Operational Resilience and Data Governance.
• Proven senior stakeholder influencing skills at CTO/CISO level.
• CISA as minimum; other qualifications (CISM, CISSP, AIAA) desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of IT audits and set clear priorities.
• Provide guidance on IT control matters to audit colleagues.
• Focus audits on material risks and adjust scope as needed.
• Coach IA Managers and junior staff to strengthen issue framing.
• Build trust with senior leaders through evidence-led challenge.
• Identify cross-cutting themes to reframe organizational risk thinking.
• Engage stakeholders proactively to raise issues promptly.
