Job summary

SearchWorks in Manchester is seeking a highly hands-on Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to join during a major IT transformation. You will act as the technical anchor within Internal IT, collaborating with the Head of IT Operations to modernise cloud, identity and network infrastructure.

This newly created role requires you to have led migrations from hybrid/on-prem Windows domains to cloud-only Entra ID, and to oversee migration of AD, DNS, DHCP, GPOs to Intune and Entra services, while

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Intune.
• Has led a migration from hybrid/on-premises Windows domain to a cloud-only Microsoft environment.
• Previous experience mentoring engineers and acting as senior escalation point.

Responsibilities

• Migrate AD/domain services to Entra ID and move GPOs to Intune.
• Decommission on-prem Domain Controllers and legacy Windows services.
• Migrate DHCP and DNS to cloud/modern network infrastructure.
• Lead network modernization across Meraki and Fortinet devices.
• Manage M365, Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online and SharePoint Online.
• Provide senior technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
