Job summary

Confluence in London, UK seeks a senior networking professional to own end-to-end enterprise infrastructure from design to operations. You will be the SME, lead troubleshooting, and drive improvements across the network estate.

You will work hands-on with Cisco technologies (Firepower, ISE, SD-WAN) and partner with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions across multi-site environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in enterprise IT infrastructure or networking roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (Firepower, ISE, SD-WAN – Viptela/Catalyst).
• Deep knowledge of network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, load balancing).
• Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) across multi-site environments.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and transitioning solutions into production.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis and incident resolution.
• Experience in SaaS or cloud-based environments.
• Exposure to virtualized infrastructure (e.g., VMware).
• Familiarity with enterprise storage platforms (e.g., NetApp).
• Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Terraform, Ansible).
• Cisco certifications (CCNP or CCIE).

Role Summary

This is a senior, hands‑on networking opportunity where you’ll own enterprise infrastructure end‑to‑end — from initial design through implementation and into steady‑state operations. Working closely with infrastructure and business stakeholders, you’ll deliver complex network solutions while ensuring they are scalable, secure, and fully embedded into ongoing support.

You’ll operate as a true Subject Matter Expert and technical escalation point, leading troubleshooting, optimizing performance, and driving continuous improvement across the network estate.
