Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Administrator to deliver infrastructure support while acting as the technical lead for deployed IT services across the business. This is a full-time role that involves designing, implementing, deploying, and documenting new infrastructure solutions in line with the overall IT and company strategies. The role requires a proactive and solutions-focused professional who can support business operations through high-quality service delivery and technical leadership.

Job Duties

• Deliver second and third-tier technical support for infrastructure-related requests
• Design, implement, and document infrastructure technologies in alignment with IT strategy
• Monitor system health, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
• Ensure infrastructure is configured and deployed in line with industry best practices
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members on technical matters
• Maintain IT documentation, including system configurations and processes
• Communicate with third-party vendors for issue escalation and licensing/equipment requirements
• Collaborate with internal teams and departments on infrastructure-related initiatives
• Plan and coordinate maintenance windows with operations departments
• Create and maintain team procedures to support ongoing tasks and responsibilities
• Encourage and share feedback or suggestions to improve IT services
• Apply internal risk management procedures consistently
• Deliver all responsibilities in a timely and organised manner

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in IT administration and infrastructure support
• Working towards or holding ITIL 4 Foundation certification
• Strong understanding of IP addressing, DNS, routing, and core networking principles
• Practical experience with core Microsoft infrastructure products, with or working towards specialist certification
• Proficient in hybrid infrastructure technologies including IaaS, SaaS, networking, storage, and compute
• In-depth experience with Azure networking: VNets, VPNs, ExpressRoute, Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, Private Link, and NSGs
• Experience with HPE Aruba and Cisco switching is highly advantageous
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues
• Good understanding of desktop and mobile endpoint infrastructure and BYOD management
• Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused and calm approach

• Proactive in adopting departmental standards and best practices
• Enthusiastic about staying current with emerging technologies
