We are seeking an IT Technician to join our team. Candidates should have substantial experience as an IT Technician and be competent in working with clients, customers, and colleagues at all levels of seniority.

Main Job Purpose:
  • Provide support and advice on a wide range of IT services and technologies, including Microsoft, Google, and Apple platforms.
  • Process incoming support requests through the service board.
  • Participate in and lead project work at client sites.
  • Work with Account Managers as part of a "Client Team," acting as Technical Lead for specific customers, advising on strategic IT plans.
  • Manage a small team of Technicians.
Key Skills / Experience:
  • At least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Solution design experience in Microsoft and Google platforms is beneficial.
  • Relevant certifications in Cisco and/or Microsoft.
  • Hands-on knowledge of firewalls, SANs, Cisco / HP Aruba switches.
  • Strong network troubleshooting skills, including LAN & WAN technologies (IPv4, VPNs, VLANs, iSCSI, SNMP).
  • Experience with Windows Active Directory, Microsoft Office 365, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Experience with VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V clustering.
  • Experience with recent Microsoft Server builds (2016-2019).
  • Knowledge of System Centre Configuration Manager.
  • Full UK Driving License and own car required.
  • Clear DBS check required.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and progress service board escalations.
  • Act as an escalation point for service requests.
  • Attend site visits to resolve issues.
  • Maintain clear communication with team and clients.
  • Assist account managers with site queries.
  • Lead larger project work.
  • Train other IT Consultants as appropriate.
  • Keep internal documentation up to date.
