Job summary

Hybridge Recruitment is seeking an experienced IT Audit professional for a prominent financial services client in Reading. The role focuses on planning and executing IT and third-party audits, evaluating risk controls across systems and outsourced relationships, and leveraging AI-driven tools to enhance audit quality and efficiency.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of security controls, IT governance and stakeholder engagement, plus a willingness to adopt Microsoft Copilot.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering IT and third-party audits.
• Understanding of third-party and outsourcing risk and vendor oversight.
• Knowledge of technology security controls and IT governance.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted audit tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot).
• CISA, CISM, CRISC or similar certifications preferred.
• Eligible to work in the UK (sponsorship not provided).

Responsibilities

• Scope and plan technology-focused audits across systems, suppliers and operations.
• Carry out risk-based testing of controls in technology, outsourced services and third-party relationships.
• Apply analytics, automation and AI-driven tools to improve planning, testing and delivery.
• Produce robust audit documentation and deliver work on time, on budget and to the required standard.
• Communicate outcomes clearly and land remediation actions with management.
• Develop and sustain relationships across Technology, Information Security, Procurement and other areas to keep pace with risks.
• Guide and review junior auditors' work to build team skills.

Your profile

• Experience delivering IT and third-party audits.
• Good understanding of third-party and outsourcing risk, including supplier risk frameworks and vendor oversight arrangements.
• Solid grasp of technology security controls and IT governance practices.
• Strong interpersonal, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capability.
• Proven collaborator within a high-performing, fast-paced team.
• Comfortable using, or keen to adopt, AI-assisted tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot) to boost audit efficiency and quality.
• Ideally a relevant certification, CISA, CISM, CRISC or similar.
