Join us as a senior ISDA Negotiator (VP) at Barclays, where you will negotiate Master Trading Netting Agreements, focusing on the ISDA derivatives space, to contribute to the Bank’s capital efficiency. The role primarily targets Barclays’ client base in EMEA, but may also involve servicing global coverage areas.

Key skills required include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Extensive experience in financial services, either legal or as a negotiator
  • Strong knowledge of the ISDA documentation suite; experience with other master agreements is a plus
  • Ability to manage portfolios independently and stakeholder relationships effectively
  • Understanding of operational cycle times, MI, and data management
  • Leadership in supporting, training, and reviewing junior team members
  • Capacity to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Additional valued skills include:

  • Fluency in French, Italian, or Spanish
  • Legal qualification in Scotland, England & Wales, or other jurisdictions

The role may be based in Glasgow or London.

Purpose of the role

Manage transactional processes, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate documentation.

Accountabilities

  • Ensure compliance of Transaction Services and Documentation activities with applicable laws and regulations
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to execute transactions efficiently
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage legal documents for transactions
  • Support transactions with due diligence and summaries
  • Develop and implement consistent transaction processes
  • Identify and communicate legal risks, keeping up to date with legal requirements
