Senior IP Test Engineer - Contract, Slough

Connect 44 is actively hiring for a Senior IP Test Engineer to join the team.

Responsibilities:

• Deep knowledge of Juniper routers is essential.
• Expertise in IP/MPLS Core network testing and troubleshooting practices.
• Strong IP skills, including troubleshooting BGP/ISIS routing and other protocols around the MPLS Core estate.
• Excellent technical coordination, cooperation, management skills, and ability to work independently.
• Proactive attitude and tenacity in task completion.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently within deadlines.
• Provide regular updates to the Project and Transport Test team principal engineers.
• Respond to concerns raised by the Transport Test team principal engineers.
• Work onsite at Buck Ave, Slough when required.

Scope of Work:

• Learn the existing MPLS Core connection/solution quickly.
• Develop Test Plans and Test Cases from provided templates and obtain stakeholder approval.
• Gather, review, and validate existing Test Cases in Jira, removing duplicates and creating new ones as needed.
• Prioritize test cases using MoSCoW method to fit within time constraints.
• Review and coordinate overarching Plans from design teams for seamless migration in TestBed.
• Execute baseline and migration test cases, including rollback procedures.
• Provide feedback to design teams for solution improvements.
• Execute regression testing after implementation.
• Manage defect and issue tracking, seeking timely resolutions.
• Produce and gain approval for the Test Exit Report, including change risk assessment.
