Job summary

Lab49 in the UK is seeking a Senior iOS Developer to lead mobile initiatives for marquee banking clients. You’ll own technical direction, design systems, and code when it matters, while guiding other engineers to deliver high-quality iOS apps.

The role is on-site, with 5 days per week in London or Birmingham. You’ll work with designers, product partners, and stakeholders to build onboarding, account management, and money movement experiences in a scalable, compliant way.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience designing and building complex, commercial-grade software systems.
• Proficiency in Swift and experience with native iOS development tools such as SwiftUI, UIKit, SwiftData, Swift Concurrency (async/await).
• Experience in consumer banking including account management and onboarding.
• Familiarity with integrating RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, deliver, and test innovative iOS applications with a product-minded approach.
• Lead architectural decisions and guide engineers toward best practices.
• Collaborate with client stakeholders, designers, product partners, and leadership to ensure technically sound solutions.
• This is an on-site role with 5 days/week in London or Birmingham, UK.
