Job summary

Ventula Consulting Ltd. is seeking an experienced iOS Engineer in Manchester to build, maintain and improve native iOS features. You will work on Back End-driven UI solutions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver production-ready software.

The role is a 5‑month contract based in Manchester, with 2 days on site per week and the remainder remote. Daily rate up to £600 inside IR35; strong Swift/SwiftUI and MVVM experience required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Swift and SwiftUI.
• Experience with MVVM or similar architectures.
• Familiarity with UIKit interoperability.
• Strong knowledge of Xcode and Apple tooling.
• Experience consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience debugging production applications.
• Experience writing unit tests.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to quickly understand large existing codebases.
• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding.
• Strong focus on delivery, quality, and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native iOS features - Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit.
• Deliver features from technical design through implementation and release.
• Break down complex work into manageable implementation tasks.
• Collaborate with Back End engineers, product managers, designers, and QA.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Debug production issues and improve application stability and performance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Monitor application quality through crash reporting and observability tools.
• Be familiar with Back End-driven UI solutions
