Job summary

Motorway, the UK's largest online car-selling platform, is seeking a seasoned Senior iOS Engineer to join our Mobile engineering group in London. You will work with designers, product managers, and engineers to build a best-in-class seller experience.

You will architect features, evolve our Server-Driven UI, and maintain CI/CD and automated UI tests. This hybrid role offers 2 days in our London office, collaboration with a talented team, and opportunities to shape the future of mobile at

• Championing best practices and high standards for mobile engineering.
• Closely analysing UI and app experience details.
• Building an understanding of the backend systems powering the app.

Hi, I’m Manuele Maggi, Engineering Manager at Motorway. I’m looking for a seasoned Senior iOS Engineer to join our Mobile engineering group and help harness the latest tools, techniques, and technologies to build a best‑in‑class experience for our Sellers. It’s an opportunity to join a talented team pushing the boundaries, working alongside bright minds in engineering, product, and design – with AI deeply embedded in how we build and how we work. About the role

• Collaborating with designers, product managers, and engineers.
• Architecting and implementing complex and interesting app features.
• Developing and evolving our in-house Server‑Driven UI framework, enabling rapid feature delivery and dynamic experiences without app releases.
• Building and maintaining our mobile infrastructure - CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, App Store deployment workflows, and our automated UI testing platform.
• Championing best practices and the highest standards for mobile engineering.
• Closely analysing the details of the UI and overall app experience.
• Building an understanding of the backend systems that power the app.

About you

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong experience with iOS development and proficiency with the latest mobile platform frameworks and features, including:
• 0 to 1 experience building and delivering successful products from scratch.
• A proven ability to ship impactful, high‑scale mobile applications.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Driven, with a bias to action and taking the initiative.

Location

Our interview process

• Qualifying Screen - 30 minutes
• Technical Interview - 60 minutes
• Soft Skills Interview (onsite depending on team) - 60 minutes
