We're currently looking for a Senior Investigations Officer on a full-time permanent basis.

This position sits within the Regulation and Conduct Department, in our London office (home based and hybrid working available).

The Job

Reporting to an Assessment & Investigations Manager, on a day-to-day basis you'll be involved in the following:

  • Investigating complaints about professional conduct
  • Exercising strong case and time management skills
  • Reviewing and assessing documentary evidence
  • Drafting witness statements
  • Drafting clear and detailed reports of findings and decisions
  • Drafting Consent Orders and Reports of Disciplinary Allegations
  • Preparing associated bundles for hearings

The Person

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is a qualified solicitor, barrister or accountant with significant post-qualification experience or a minimum specialist investigatory experience in a regulatory environment.
  • Has experience of making decisions and articulating their reasons in writing
  • Has commercial (e.g. company law) and regulatory awareness (e.g. AML)
  • Is confident to research areas of practice they are not familiar with
  • Is interested in unravelling (sometimes voluminous) facts and information and identifying the key issues
  • Is happy to work autonomously and is self-motivated to progress their own case load in keeping with KPIs
  • Is comfortable working remotely
  • Is a good team player
  • Has experience of conducting investigations within a professional regulatory body
