As a Senior Inventory Controller, you will perform independent resolution of inventory anomalies through root cause analysis and reconciliation by investigating physical inventory, transaction history, bill of materials to implement fixes to process issues causing inventory discrepancies.

You will be responsible for completing physical control counts to complete root cause corrective actions to improve overall inventory accuracy.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Performs control group counts to identify and fix root causes working with all levels of management for inventory approval and sign off. Responsible for resolution activities.

Leading cross – functional inventory projects to improve inventory accuracy.

Works with accounts department related to resolution of Goods Received Not Invoiced (GRNI) and Goods Invoiced Not Received (GINR)

All functions of an inventory counter.

Investigating transaction history, Checking receiving and last receipts, Liaise with PD/Engineering, Checking the bill of material to ensure that material is dispersing correctly.

Support the departments’ goals to reach the plan by year end.

Location / stores audits and receipt counting as required.

Candidates will have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

Internal candidates must have satisfactorily completed a minimum of service in their current position to apply for another role, or have obtained, in writing,authorisationfrom their manager to waive this requirement. Candidates should always inform their manager prior to applying for any new role.

Internal candidates must not have any live disciplinaries or be on a performance action plan.

A good level of literacy and numeracy skills (maths test will be required)

Requires a good understanding of Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, Material Planning and Accounting principles / practices / systems.

Knowledge required of Glovia (ERP system) transactions across all functions would be highly desirable.

Highly self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail.

Be able to communicate and liaise with all levels of the organisation and work within a team environment.

Computer literate on Microsoft office applications.

Have an in-depth knowledge of company procedures and operations.

A good product knowledge based on physical involvement with logistics materials movement and operations product assembly.

Candidates may have gained the following skills and experience through previous roles:

  • Ability to read Engineering Drawings
  • Glovia systems
