Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc in Derby is seeking an experienced Internal Controls Senior Manager to join the Group Internal Controls team. The role focuses on establishing and monitoring robust finance processes and internal controls, providing assurance to leadership and the Board.

You will lead testing, remediation, and continuous improvement across Civil, Defence and Group controls, liaising with senior management and external audits. Hybrid working in Derby with on-site presence required.

Qualifications

• A professional accountancy and / or audit qualification.
• Subject matter expert in establishing an internal control system.
• Experience implementing SOX controls and a SOX compliance programme is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist guidance to define, manage and monitor internal control systems across Aerospace businesses.
• Lead testing and remediation to improve the internal control environment in Civil, Defence and Group.
• Challenge current controls and develop efficient control solutions with business units.
• Coordinate with multiple groups and senior management to ensure consistent control practices.
• Report findings to Audit Committee and CFO Leadership Team with clear recommendations.
• Support self-assessment of internal control systems and oversee the process.
• Collaborate with customers to resolve control problems and drive process improvements.
