Job summary

Millennium Hotels and Resorts UK is seeking an experienced Internal Control Manager to own internal controls across the UK and EU hotel portfolio. You will partner with hotel finance teams, operations, Internal Audit and regional leadership to strengthen governance and reduce repeat audit findings.

The role suits a pragmatic, hands-on professional accustomed to a multi-site operational environment, with travel across the UK and occasional EU travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in internal controls and risk management.
• Experience in multi-site hospitality or similar environments preferred.
• Ability to document and maintain formal controls and processes.
• Strong track record in remediating internal audit findings.
• High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Document and maintain key financial and operational controls across UK hotel operations
• Own the regional Finance & Controls Manual and update as needed
• Design and implement new or improved controls to close gaps
• Ensure controls are practical, scalable and aligned to hotel operations
• Comply with UK/EU financial regulations, tax requirements and policies
• Collaborate with HR and Legal on GDPR and training requirements
• Monitor regulatory changes and update controls accordingly
• Conduct regular tests of internal controls to ensure effectiveness
• Perform spot checks and targeted property reviews
• Track control failures, root causes and remediation actions
• Establish a sustainable ongoing monitoring framework
