Job summary

Cabot Financial is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls across the group. The role leads and delivers internal audit engagements and advisory work for senior management and the Boards.

Based in Kings Hill with hybrid working, the role reports to the Head of Internal Audit and offers a competitive salary, an attractive bonus scheme and a rewards package including private health insurance.

Qualifications

• Senior internal audit or assurance experience.
• Strong audit report writing skills.
• Knowledge of risk management and governance in financial services.
• Experience with audit management software is a plus.
• Progress towards or holding a professional qualification (CIIA/ACCA/ICAEW/CIMA) preferred.
• Knowledge of IIA standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality internal audit assurance and advisory reviews across business processes.
• Assess complex or judgement-based areas and prioritise risks.
• Collaborate with audit colleagues and stakeholders, providing robust analysis.
• Track, review and follow up management actions with timely escalation.
• Produce audit reports and management information for senior leadership and Audit Committee.
• Represent Internal Audit in meetings and communicate findings effectively.
• Contribute to strategic development of the global Internal Audit function.
• Maintain understanding of risk, governance and regulatory developments.
