Job summary

Cabot Financial seeks an IT Governance, Risk & Control Specialist to strengthen and broaden our IT control environment across the UK and Europe. The role builds on SOX controls and embeds governance across ISO 27001, NIST and PCI.

You will design, implement and evidence controls while collaborating with IT Operations, Risk, Compliance and Audit. This 12-month FTC offers hybrid working from Kings Hill (ME19 4UA) with a competitive salary, bonus scheme, and employee benefits including private

Qualifications

• Proven track record of delivery in an IT Governance or Risk & Controls role.
• In-depth knowledge of IT and regulatory frameworks standards (ISO 27001, SOX, NIST, PCI).
• Review and maintain IT policies, procedures and controls to ensure they remain effective and compliant.
• Act as IT Operations contact for audits, coordinating responses and evidence collection.
• Monitor, report on and support remediation of audit findings and IT operational risks.
• Provide guidance on governance, risk and compliance to IT Operations and stakeholders.
• Partner with Risk, Compliance, Audit and IT teams to embed best practice.
• Support business continuity, resilience, patch management and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and improve IT Governance, Risk and Control frameworks across IT Operations.
• Review IT policies, procedures and controls for effectiveness and compliance.
• Coordinate responses and evidence collection for audits (SOX, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI).
• Monitor remediation of audit findings and IT operational risks.
• Advise IT Operations and stakeholders on governance, risk and compliance matters.
• Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, Audit and IT to embed best practices.
• Assist with business continuity, resilience and vulnerability management.
• Maintain governance artefacts and control evidence repositories.
