Job summary

HM Revenue & Customs invites applications for a Senior Internal Auditor to join a well-established internal audit function within a large, complex and highly interesting organisation. The role focuses on advancing data analytics and the use of AI tools.

You will manage a varied portfolio of risk-based audits from planning to reporting and follow-up, covering operational, project and systems-focused reviews, with exposure across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong internal audit or assurance experience.
• Experience with data analytics and automation is highly desirable.
• Full UK working rights; sponsorship not available.
• Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIIA/IIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk-based audits from planning through reporting and follow-up.
• Cover operational, project, and systems-focused reviews.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders to assess risk management and controls.
• Provide practical recommendations to drive improvements.
