Job summary

Michael Page is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor for a permanent role based in London. You will lead end-to-end internal audit activities, including scoping, testing, reporting, and follow-up on actions to improve controls.

The position offers a £75k salary (dependent on experience) with opportunities to influence audit scope and drive process improvements within a well-established organisation in the construction sector.

Qualifications

• Experience planning and delivering internal audit assignments.
• Ability to assess processes and controls in a clear, practical way.
• Experience gathering and documenting audit evidence.
• Confidence producing clear audit findings and written reports.
• Ability to analyse information and identify areas for improvement.
• Experience tracking audit actions and following up on progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver internal audit assignments in line with agreed audit plans and priorities.
• Review business processes and controls to identify areas for improvement.
• Gather evidence through document reviews, data analysis and discussions with relevant colleagues.
• Document audit findings clearly, setting out practical recommendations for action.
• Prepare concise audit reports that give stakeholders a clear view of key findings.
• Track agreed actions and follow up on progress to support timely completion.
• Work with Accounting & Finance colleagues to understand processes and audit requirements.
• Maintain accurate audit documentation to provide a clear record of work completed.
