Service Care Solutions is recruiting a Senior Internal Auditor for a local authority in North London on a temporary basis (3 months). The role leads a portfolio of risk-based audits, provides line management to an Internal Auditor, and contributes to governance and improvement initiatives across council services.

You will work with senior stakeholders, deliver high-quality audit reports, and drive recommendations to enhance internal controls and service outcomes.

Formación

• Proven experience delivering a varied portfolio of internal audits, ideally within local government, with a strong understanding of internal audit principles, practices and standards.
• Experience managing or developing staff, alongside the ability to build credible working relationships with senior managers, stakeholders and external partners.
• Excellent analytical, numeracy, communication and report-writing skills, with the confidence to present complex audit findings and recommendations to a range of audiences.
• Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and performance targets, and demonstrate experience of driving change, particularly through technology.

• Build effective relationships across the Council and with external partners, advising on governance, risk and internal control matters, while contributing to the continuous improvement of the Internal Audit service.

Job Description

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a local authority in North London for a Senior Internal Auditor to join the team on a temporary basis. The postholder will lead a portfolio of risk-based audits across a range of Council services, while providing line management and support to an Internal Auditor. You will work closely with senior stakeholders, offering professional advice and recommendations that drive service improvements and support the Council's strategic objectives.
