Job summary

Eden Brown Synergy are supporting an Independent Regulator with a Senior Audit Officer role in Bristol. The position is full time with a salary of £54,439–£56,968 per year and a Civil Service Pension. Hybrid working is available and site visits across provider locations in England are required.

You will lead audits, assess data accuracy, and report findings to both providers and colleagues. Expect travel and a strong emphasis on data quality and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading audits or similar assurance work.
• Numerical and data literacy with capability to understand data definitions.
• Ability to design novel testing approaches for emerging risks.
• Excellent communication and handling of sensitive conversations.
• Experience reporting findings to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead audits and reviews of provider data and core processes.
• Direct and oversee colleagues in audit work and field visits.
• Act as primary contact with provider staff, including face-to-face meetings.
• Report findings to providers and internal teams in a clear, actionable way.
• Travel regularly to providers across England, including overnight stays.
