Senior Interior Designer – High-End Residential & Hospitality Projects

An award-winning, dynamic Interior Architecture & Interior Design studio based in Notting Hill is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join its expanding team. With a growing studio of ten professionals, this position offers the opportunity to play a pivotal leadership role in the delivery of exceptional residential and hospitality environments across London and the Cotswolds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead high-end UK residential projects from inception through to completion, ensuring the delivery of design excellence, client satisfaction, and timely execution.
• Oversee day-to-day project operations including site visits, programme coordination, contractor liaison, and securing client approvals for all design modifications.
• Manage and mentor junior designers, providing structured training, project oversight, and performance feedback to support professional development and maintain high-quality design output.
• Establish and manage project workflows, resource planning, and timelines, with a strong focus on critical path milestones and long-lead items.
• Produce and review high-quality technical drawings and design documentation independently; ensure all deliverables align with project objectives and studio standards.
• Collaborate with Directors and senior colleagues to foster a positive and supportive studio culture, championing design excellence and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to business development initiatives by attending industry events and actively representing the studio within the wider design community.
• Take part in internal initiatives focused on streamlining studio operations and enhancing the studio’s profile in the high-end design sector.

Required Experience & Skills:

• A minimum of 1 year in a senior-level position within UK-focused high-end residential design.
• Strong leadership attributes with excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex design projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in Vectorworks (or confidence in transitioning from AutoCAD to full-time Vectorworks use).
• Familiarity with procurement platforms such as ESTI and working knowledge of FF&E installation processes.
• A portfolio showcasing high-quality CAD drawings produced independently, along with full project lifecycle management experience.
• Experience working on site with contractors and consultants, resolving issues proactively while maintaining client confidence.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) within a Mac environment.
• A bright and inspiring studio space located in a vibrant creative hub in Notting Hill.
• A collaborative and sociable team environment, including regular team lunches, networking opportunities, and seasonal gatherings.
