Job summary

D&B, a London-based design-led practice, is seeking a Senior Designer to lead workplace and commercial fit-out projects, shaping briefs, pitching ideas and guiding the design process from concept through to delivery.

You will work with cross-functional teams, present concepts to clients, ensure design intent aligns with budget and programme, and build strong client relationships while taking ownership of projects.

Qualifications

• Senior Designer or equivalent experience within workplace, commercial interiors or fit-out.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit and ability to translate client briefs into deliverable concepts.
• Confident presenting ideas and speaking directly with clients.
• Ability to balance creative ambition with budget and buildability.

Senior Designer - Commercial Workplace - D&B

We're working with a well-established, design-led D&B business in London that is looking to bring in a Senior Designer who can have a real impact on both the creative side of the business and its continued growth.

You'll be involved at the front end, helping to win work, shape client briefs, pitch ideas and lead the design process. You'll be the creative lead in meetings, confident enough to put ideas forward, challenge a brief where needed and present concepts in a way that gets clients bought into the vision.

The projects are focused on workplace and commercial fit-out, so you'll need to understand how good design translates into a deliverable D&B project. You'll work closely with project, pre-construction and commercial teams, balancing creativity with programme, budget and buildability.

It's a great opportunity for a designer who wants more ownership, more exposure to clients and a genuine seat at the table when it comes to winning and shaping projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process from initial brief through concept and developed design
• Take the creative lead on workplace and commercial fit-out projects
• Get involved in pitching and work-winning, developing concepts that help secure new projects
• Attend client meetings and present design proposals with confidence
• Translate client requirements into strong, commercially viable design solutions
• Work alongside internal pre-construction, project management and commercial teams to ensure designs are deliverable
• Develop presentations, concepts and design information for pitches and live projects
• Use Revit confidently across the design process
• Help develop the creative approach and design standards across the business
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and internal teams
• Take ownership of your projects rather than waiting to be directed
• Represent the business professionally and confidently in client-facing situations

Requirements

• Senior Designer or equivalent experience within workplace, commercial interiors or fit-out
• D&B experience highly desirable.
• Strong working knowledge of Revit
• Good understanding of workplace design and commercial fit-out
• Strong creative ability with a portfolio that demonstrates design quality
• Confident presenting ideas and speaking directly with clients
• Comfortable getting involved in pitches and work-winning
• Commercially aware and able to balance creative ambition with budget and buildability
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Someone with the confidence to take the lead and own the design process
