Senior Interior Designer Job in Bath, Somerset

A new opportunity is available in Bath. The successful candidate will have a strong track record working on and delivering luxury residential and/or hospitality projects. They will be responsible for leading and mentoring junior team members. Salary range: £42,000 – £46,000 DOE.

Established 15 years ago, this design practice is one of the most trusted and respected in the industry, offering a fully bespoke service that combines interior architecture, interior design, and project management from concept to completion. Known for their luxurious yet relaxed style, the practice is frequently featured in the House and Garden list of 100 leading interior designers.

With an expanding pipeline of projects, they are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join their team on a permanent basis. The role involves working on all project stages of UK-based projects.

Role & Responsibilities

1. Leading the creative direction alongside team leaders across all project stages
2. Inspiring the team and introducing new ideas to each project
3. Communicating directly with clients to ensure a smooth sign-off process
4. Recording designs and specifications; assisting in managing other project team members when needed
5. Researching and selecting appropriate materials fitting the concept and budget
6. Building supplier relationships and exploring new creative and sustainable approaches
7. Coordinating with external contractors, suppliers, and internal teams regularly
8. Leading and mentoring junior team members

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years’ experience in luxury residential and/or hospitality projects
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Comprehensive knowledge of RIBA project stages and FF&E processes
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to take initiative
• Supportive team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp, MS Office, and hand sketching
• Full, clean UK Driving Licence
