Job summary

Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Consultant Intensivist to join our critical care team at the Winchester site. The post includes a 10 PA contract with 5 PA for critical care work plus on‑call duties, and opportunities to engage in regional transfer services and medical education.

We welcome applicants from Intensive Care Medicine with CESR/CCT or equivalent, and those with complementary specialties.

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration and eligibility to practice in the UK.
• GMC Specialist Register (or CESR/CESR(GP)) within 6 months of interview.
• MBBS or equivalent and higher postgraduate qualifications.
• FFICM or equivalent.
• CCT in Intensive Care Medicine (or CESR or CESR(GP)) or will obtain within 6 months of interview date.
• FRCA & CCT in Anaesthesia (or CESR or CESR(GP)) or equivalent within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Support delivery of high‑quality clinical care in the ICU/HPU settings.
• Work flexibly to meet departmental and patient needs, including on‑call duties.
• Contribute to teaching and training, including supervision of junior staff and trainees.
• Engage in clinical governance and development of services for the local community.
