Penspen www.penspen.com are looking for Senior Engineer for our Asset Integrity team to be based Hybrid from Newcastle.

Main Purpose of Role:

  • Technical – carry out asset integrity consultancy work, such as researching problems, engineering calculations, preparation of reports, etc. Provide technical support to graduate engineers as required.
  • Project management – manage small projects in accordance with all relevant company procedures and agreed contracts. Interface directly with clients to present methodologies, results, project progress, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Executing pipelines and pressure systems integrity (FFS / RBI) assessments, liaising closely with the project team and governance of the Chief Discipline Engineer (CDE).
  • Providing guidance and supervision to young engineers and supporting their competency development in accordance with the company performance system.
  • Interfacing and providing clarification, guidance, and technical support to the client on ongoing projects.
  • Producing hand calculations as well as MathCAD or spreadsheet models as needed.
  • Producing high-quality reports and presentations as part of the project, supporting the project manager.
  • Checking calculations and reports produced by other engineers in accordance with company QA/QC procedures.
  • Developing technical bids and proposals to support the Proposal team. Able to identify scope of work within Penspen's core services and develop execution plans as needed.
  • Ensuring Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental Management System are implemented within the area of operation as per the company-approved procedures and ISO Standards.

Knowledge / Experience (Skills):

  • Knowledge of FFS relevant codes and standards (such as API 579, ASME B31G, etc.).
  • High level of computer literacy with MS Office (Word & Excel) and experience with analysis software like MathCAD.
  • Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant engineering and management experience in Oil and Gas.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • NACE accreditation is an advantage.
