Senior Insurance Solutions Architect - Guidewire / Verisk Specialist

About Us

Capco is a global technology and business consultancy, focused on the financial services sector. We are passionate about helping our clients succeed in an ever-changing industry.

At Capco, we work at the heart of insurance transformation, partnering with major insurers to modernise technology, unlock digital capability, and deliver better outcomes for customers. Our Insurance Architecture team is growing, and we’re looking for a client-facing Enterprise and Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Guidewire or Verisk platforms and a strong background in consulting.

What are we looking for?

Capco seeks Insurance Solution Architects to help our clients leverage technology to maintain and enhance their market leadership. We assist by designing exceptional customer experiences, transforming business processes, and integrating technology landscapes into emerging capabilities for optimal organizational results.

Our solution architects are key members, translating ideas into actionable solutions using diverse business and technology skills. As an Insurance Solutions Architect, you’ll serve as a technical leader and trusted advisor, working closely with clients to understand their challenges, shape strategic roadmaps, and lead large-scale Guidewire or Verisk implementations from early advisory to design, delivery, and post-implementation phases.

This role is ideal if you seek an outcome-oriented position within a dynamic team, applying your domain experience and technological expertise to convert business needs into solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic technology advisor, guiding architecture decisions, platform roadmaps, and transformation initiatives.
  • Lead the design and delivery of Guidewire or Verisk-based solutions, including policy admin, claims, billing, and analytics functions.
  • Shape solution architecture to meet client requirements, aligning with business goals, IT strategy, and regulatory standards.
  • Facilitate workshops, assessments, and strategy engagements with clients.
  • Collaborate with product owners, engineering teams, and vendors to ensure robust delivery.
  • Support pre-sales activities, including proposals and technical strategy development.
  • Serve as the technical lead during complex projects, resolving issues and ensuring successful delivery.
What You Will Bring
  • A customer-centric approach with the ability to empathize and craft solutions that enhance customer experience.
  • Knowledge of architectural skills such as modern solution design, target operating models, estimation, planning, and governance, preferably in Agile environments.
  • Experience with insurance domains like Commercial Lines, London Markets, Reinsurance, or Underwriting.
  • Extensive experience in architecting insurance solutions using Guidewire (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter) or Verisk (ISO, Sequel Suite, Risk Analyzer).
  • A strong consulting background with client engagement experience in fast-paced, outcome-focused settings.
  • Deep understanding of insurance processes and aligning technology with business priorities.
  • Proven leadership in architecture design from conception to implementation.
  • Knowledge of integration patterns, APIs, data architecture, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leaders.
  • An interest in emerging insurance market trends to identify future technological needs.
  • Experience leading workshops, presenting to stakeholders, and influencing senior business and IT leaders.
  • Exposure to architecture governance processes and promoting design standards.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
  • Architecture certifications such as TOGAF.
  • Knowledge of insurance ecosystem technologies like CRM, microservices, data enrichment, and analytics platforms.
Why Join Capco?

Because you are curious, eager to engage in impactful projects with leading banks, and interested in transforming the financial services industry.

We offer:

  • An innovative, value-driven work culture.
  • Opportunities for continuous learning and skill development.
  • A flat structure enabling direct collaboration with senior partners and clients.
  • A diverse, inclusive, and meritocratic environment.
  • Competitive family-friendly benefits, including parental leave, paid sick leave, fertility support, menopause, and bereavement leave.
