As a Senior Pricing Analyst (Risk), you will oversee the risk management framework for Saga’s street pricing, supporting the insurance strategy, customer outcomes, and contributing to Saga Services' overall P&L.

We seek an experienced pricing expert with a proven track record in developing innovative solutions to enhance Saga Services' pricing capabilities. This role influences all aspects of the pricing process to ensure risks are well managed, while maximizing customer and commercial outcomes. Experience in personal lines insurance, especially in Motor, Home, Travel, or Private Medical, is essential.

You will understand the drivers of best-in-class street pricing and implement innovative processes to create value. Collaboration with Pricing Managers and the broader business will be key to developing and executing complex solutions that improve our pricing capabilities and support the Group’s strategic goals.

Flexible working arrangements are available, allowing you to work from home or in our London or Folkestone hubs. The team meets once a month in London.

Role Responsibilities

As a Senior Pricing Analyst (Risk), you will proactively manage risks within the pricing team, ensuring effective risk controls, compliance, and alignment with customer and commercial outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing thought leadership in insurance pricing and data analysis.
  • Supporting strategic projects with your expertise.
  • Ensuring adherence to pricing fairness and data policies.
  • Leading risk control effectiveness testing and addressing control weaknesses.
  • Managing SSL Pricing Incidents and conducting root cause analysis.
  • Producing risk management reports, including regulatory MI, control assessments, and incident updates.
  • Reviewing the SSL Pricing risk register with senior leadership.
  • Analyzing market data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Making data-driven recommendations.
  • Supporting pricing aspects of business change initiatives, including our partnership with Ageas for Home and Motor products.
The Ideal Candidate

Experience in personal lines insurance, particularly in Motor, Home, Travel, or Private Medical, is essential. Additional desirable skills include:

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to pricing.
  • Understanding of general insurance pricing methodologies.
  • High accuracy and strong numerical/statistical skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and excellent communication skills.
  • Influencing and relationship management abilities.
  • Leadership and team motivation skills.
  • Proactive and organized approach.
  • Knowledge of modeling software (Radar, Emblem, etc.) and programming languages (SQL, R, Python) is advantageous.
