The main purpose of this role is to act as a Client Executive on a number of Captive accounts, assisting the Line Manager to ensure the company's strategy, plans, and budgets are achieved, and that service excellence is delivered to clients.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Guernsey office.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for client service excellence, ensuring it is achieved and maintained, and that all client service management agreements are managed and delivered effectively and efficiently. Ensure compliance with all client regulatory and legal issues.
- Lead, direct, develop, and motivate department staff towards accomplishing business and departmental goals, as well as personal objectives.
- Identify, develop, and provide ongoing training and education to staff to enhance skills and achieve succession planning objectives.
- Apply strategic and operational planning in accordance with directives from Company Directors, the Executive Committee, and the servicing team.
- Participate in setting long and short-term company objectives aligned with the overall Group strategy.
- Assist in preparing RfP responses, presentations, programme design, and new business onboarding.
- Understand the company's budget and contribute to meeting financial objectives.
- Ensure consistency in quality and service delivery to clients while achieving or exceeding budget targets.
- Utilize effective management systems/tools to optimize operational efficiency.
- Support the promotion of captives to internal and external prospects.
- Help attract, develop, and retain skilled resources to meet business objectives and provide high-quality client services.
- Complete or assist in other projects or work assigned by the Managing Director or Senior Management Team, adhering to set timescales.
- Allocate time to support colleagues in the insurance function, including identifying training needs, mentoring staff, and providing guidance on complex insurance queries and technical issues.
Skills and Experience for Success:
- ACII qualification or equivalent (or working towards) - Essential.
- Previous general insurance experience with strong technical knowledge of the insurance and reinsurance industry - Essential.
- Proven experience in team leadership and line management.
- Experience within the captive insurance industry is highly desirable.
- Experience in staff supervision is beneficial.
- Focus on client service excellence.
