Job Description:

The Client:

A leading global insurance and reinsurance firm is seeking a senior insurance lawyer with 5+ PQE to join their legal team. As a senior lawyer, you will support data privacy matters and handle a range of legal issues across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Draft, review, and negotiate insurance-specific contracts such as broker agreements and binding authority agreements.
  2. Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
  3. Lead on data privacy legal matters, advising on compliance with UK and EU data protection laws, including GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act.
  4. Provide legal support on regulatory issues, including current regulations and upcoming changes.
  5. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments to ensure legal compliance in all business activities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ PQE insurance lawyer, preferably with experience in law firms or insurance companies.
  • Experience advising on data privacy matters is advantageous.
  • Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
