The Client:
A leading global insurance and reinsurance firm is seeking a senior insurance lawyer with 5+ PQE to join their legal team. As a senior lawyer, you will support data privacy matters and handle a range of legal issues across the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate insurance-specific contracts such as broker agreements and binding authority agreements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including partnership agreements, supplier agreements, vendor contracts, and customer terms and conditions.
- Lead on data privacy legal matters, advising on compliance with UK and EU data protection laws, including GDPR and the UK Data Protection Act.
- Provide legal support on regulatory issues, including current regulations and upcoming changes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across departments to ensure legal compliance in all business activities.
Qualifications:
- 5+ PQE insurance lawyer, preferably with experience in law firms or insurance companies.
- Experience advising on data privacy matters is advantageous.
- Excellent contract negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
*Candidates outside of the specified PQE range with relevant experience will also be considered.
