Sedona Digital in London is seeking a senior data architect to lead data strategy and delivery for Insurance and Banking clients. You will shape data architectures, governance, and AI-enabled data solutions across enterprise-scale projects.

Qualifications

• 10 years as a senior data architect, consultant or engineer in regulated enterprise data environments.
• 2 years working within UK insurance sector data projects.
• 2 years working with MS Azure data technologies (Databricks on Azure, Synapse, Purview, SQL, ADF, Fabric, Python).
• 6 months working with AI to augment or automate business processes (RAG, classification, API and Prompt management, Observability & Audit for FCA/PRA).
• 6 months working with sales and commercial teams from pre‑contract to closing new business.
• Demonstrable ability to elicit, analyze, and document requirements and processes.

Responsibilities

• Help our sales and presales solutions team to win new contracts by engaging with Insurance tech owners to map business value delivery into data framework solutions.
• Define transformative data architecture engineering solutions, from project scope to backlog with our techs, PMs and POs.
• Lead customer project delivery as a data architecture, AI enablement or data engineering lead on Insurance tech solution transformations.
• Co‑own the internal and customer‑facing data framework and capabilities catalogue as part of our AI roadmap team, and Insurance solutions portfolio.
• Lead data and AI metadata project discoveries with enterprise clients in UK Insurance and Banking.
• Define data architecture and engineering patterns.
• Design proportionate data and AI governance.
• Assess data asset viability and RAG patterns.
• Collaborate with business and tech SMEs and POs.
• Support engineering teams to build data capabilities.
• Design production readiness and governance.
• Assist in change management and adoption activities.
