Job summary

Sedona Digital Ltd is a UK-based IT consulting and services provider specialising in cloud, software engineering, security, and data & AI for the insurance and banking sectors. We seek a senior data architect to drive data framework solutions and AI-enabled transformations across enterprise clients.

You will lead data architecture engagements, collaborate with PMs and POs, and guide delivery teams on complex data projects, governance, and AI-driven improvements in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• 10 years working as a senior data architect, consultant or engineer in regulated enterprise data environments.
• 2 years working within UK insurance sector data projects (underwriting, claims, policy, actuarial, delegations, bordereau, Lloyds syndication, etc).
• 6 months working with AI to augment or automate business processes (RAG, classification, API management, Observability & Audit).
• 6 months working with sales and commercial teams, pre-contract to close new business.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and active participation in Agile ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Help our sales and presales solutions team to win new contracts by engaging with Insurance technology owners, data and AI leads to map business value delivery into data framework solutions.
• Define transformative data architecture engineering solutions, from project scope to backlog with our techs, PMs and POs.
• Lead customer project delivery as a data architecture, AI enablement or data engineering lead on Insurance tech solution transformations.
• Co-own the internal and customer-facing data framework and capabilities catalogue (and value delivery tracking) as part of our AI roadmap team, and Insurance solutions portfolio.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Lead data and AI metadata project discoveries with enterprise clients in UK Insurance and Banking.
• Define data architecture and engineering patterns.
• Design proportionate data and AI governance.
• Assess data asset viability and RAG patterns.
• Collaborate with business and tech SMEs and POs.
• Support engineering teams to build data capabilities.
• Design production readiness and governance.
• Assist in change management and adoption activities.

• 10years workingas asenior data architect, consultant or engineer in regulated enterprise data environments.
• 2years working within UK insurance sector data projects(underwriting, claims,policy, actuarial, delegations, bordereau,Lloyds syndicationetc).
• 2 years working with MS Azure data technologies (Databricks on Azure,Synapse,Purview, SQL, ADF, Fabric, Pythonetc).
• 6 months working with AI to augment or automate business process(RAG, classification, API and Prompt management, Observability & Audit for FCA/PRAetc)
• 6 months working with sales and commercial teams, pre-contract to close new business.
• Demonstrable, proven ability to elicit, analyze, and document requirements and processes.
• Demonstrable, proven ability with applied data techniques including identification, pipelining/ETL, curation, chunking, modelling, data quality, cataloguing, lineage, package deployment.
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodologies and active participation in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog grooming).
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills with gravitas to lead workstreams and engage with C-suite.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and lead BA/PO activities within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
