Control and instrumentation design engineering specialized in ICSS. Work includes preparing specifications, checking, and reviewing project documents for a SAF plant.
Essential Qualifications and Education
Accredited engineering degree, preferably MEng
Chartered Engineer (CEng) status
Member of a Professional Institution (e.g. IET, InstMC)
Minimum 15 years of control and instrumentation and ICSS design experience
Experience of all project phases from conceptual design to construction and commissioning support
Comfortable with schedule planning and estimating work hour and material requirements
Demonstrable in-depth knowledge and understanding of control system engineering and field instruments
Familiarity with current codes and standards
Awareness of both current and emerging technologies
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Be accountable to both Project and Engineering Management as well as the Departmental Manager
Coordinate the required flow of design information between disciplines.
Ensure the quality and technical integrity of the instrument and control design including:
Defining the control and instrument philosophy including the technologies used.
Checking and approving all types of design and requisitioning documentation.
If needed, coordinating and liaising with third parties including vendors and clients.
Review, check, and approve drawings and documentation for all types of instrumentation and control system equipment.
Participate in Safety reviews including HAZOPS and SIL/LOPA meetings for SIS and HIPPS scopes.
Preparation and review of Instrument specifications and other miscellaneous Instrument documents.
Review of ICSS systems and cabinet design.
Hardware/Software typical development.
Preparation of ICSS IO estimates for HW/SW freeze preparation.
Preparation/Review of Cause and Effects.
Prepare execution plans and estimates for proposals.
