Job description
Overview

A Senior Installation & Project Engineer is required to work on an initial 12 month contract based in London with a hybrid setup allowing homeworking at least 2/3 days per week.

As the Senior Installation & Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of subsea structures, mooring systems, riser systems, flexible flowlines and/or umbilicals. You will prepare the scope and then support the offshore crew during the operation. You will ensure the interface with the Client, suppliers, offshore crew and the design team.

Responsibilities
  • supervise a team of engineers and a package
  • oversee all external interfaces (clients, suppliers) and internal interfaces (other disciplines, installation, manufacturing, purchasing)
  • prepare documents and preliminary studies related to tenders, FEEDs and projects developed by the Group
  • be autonomous and supervise the engineering activities related to the preparation and offshore installation of the products
  • plan, prepare and confirm the specific procedures (validation test on site, transportation and installation) and associated calculation notes (design lifting slings), defining priorities
  • participate in vessel mobilization as well as installation phases on vessel to validate technical solutions while respecting Group HSEQ rules
  • ensure activities are conducted in compliance with Project standards in terms of Quality, Cost & Time
  • act as technical owner to select contractors and supervise subcontracted studies
  • validate concepts and plan changes accounting for HSEQ criteria
  • validate developments and propose improvements, taking into account the Group's HSEQ standards
  • actively participate in the development and progression of the team
  • consolidate the expertise of the installation team and offer innovative solutions to reduce costs
Qualifications and Experience
  • Master of Engineering degree or equivalent with relevant work experience in the energy sector
  • Subsea Structures Installation and/or Flexible Flowlines/Umbilicals experience required; Mooring Installation and other relevant experience desirable
