Job summary

Derivia Intelligence is seeking an experienced journalist to advance editorial coverage across SRP, GC and FOW. You will work with autonomy on complex assignments, produce clear reporting, and contribute to data-driven journalism for global financial services audiences.

Qualifications

• Some experience writing high quality content for a reputable news organisation.

• The ability to create imaginative, accurate and compelling news and feature stories.
• The ability to explain technical concepts accurately and engagingly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable networking.
• Experience creating content for the web and social media platforms.
• A degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
• Experience of public speaking.
• Numeracy would be a benefit.

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, the journalist will take on increasingly complex assignments and major stories, demonstrating a solid understanding of structured products and strong journalistic expertise. The successful candidate will be expected to work with a high degree of autonomy, manage competing priorities effectively and contribute to the continued development of SRP's editorial coverage

Tasks include:

• Providing first edits, first thing in the UK morning from our HK Correspondent.
• Potentially assisting with reporting or editing from insights contributors
• Taking the reins of regular reports particularly at the publication stage
• Producing higher-quality reporting, including in-depth data analysis
• Keeping track of weekly Spotlights to ensure the sequence

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY INTERFACES

• Keep the director of content regularly informed of market news in the region they are covering and potential stories for commissioning, including via the weekly news meeting.
• Keep the data and editorial teams informed of new structured products and trends and inform analysts of potential contacts that would assist them in their market analysis.
