This highly recognised food business creates a range of award winning, branded and own-label products for the major retailers, putting innovation first. They are now seeking a creative Senior Innovation Development Technologist who excel in a hands-on, customer focussed role.

This is a site-based role with travel required between sites, with some flex to WFH when suitable. A full driving licence is essential.

The Role

Reporting to the Innovation Manager, you’ll play a key part in developing and refining new and existing concepts across several product categories that are manufactured at multiple sites. Focusing on front-end innovation, from concept to approval, you’ll work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver exciting, high-quality products that align with food & consumer trends. Once your customer approves your amazing product, you’ll then hand over to the Process Development Team who will ensure a smooth launch.

This is a really foodie, hands on role where you will impress your customers with your creative flair as well as your knowledge of current and future food trends. You’ll play an active role in market reviews, benchmarking, food safari’s and helping identify opportunities that will deliver first-to-market innovation for this ambitious business.

The Candidate

This role would suit a creative and driven Concept / Product Developer who is looking to advance their food career with an amazing multi-site food business that have impressive products in a lot of food categories.

A degree in food science or a related field would be highly advantageous and previous experience within food manufacturing where you have worked with the retailers / major multiple customers.

As well as being curious and passionate about all things food, you will also be super organised, can take ownership of projects and influence stakeholders to deliver fabulous products to market.
