Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an experienced MQ specialist to join the z/OS MQ team in a hybrid role across Edinburgh, Manchester or Leeds. You will provide senior technical support for complex MQ environments, help shape the roadmap and work with stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure mainframe services.
The role emphasizes automation, DevOps and modern engineering practices, with out-of-hours support as needed.

HOURS: Full-time - 35 hours per week
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Edinburgh, Manchester, or Leeds office.

In this role, you'll provide highly specialised technical support across critical mainframe environments while contributing to the strategic direction of our MQ platform. You'll help maintain, modernise and evolve our services in line with Group standards, as well as helping drive the adoption of modern engineering practices, DevOps principles and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled capabilities.
You'll help to connect and integrate MQ with a range of modern technologies while ensuring our customers continue to receive resilient, secure and reliable services.
Additionally, you'll provide technical expertise for incident and problem resolution within complex environments, including participation in out-of-hours support and delivery activities when required.
