Job summary

WSP is seeking an experienced Senior Consultant in Infrastructure Planning to lead consenting inputs on major and nationally significant projects in the UK. The role requires coordinating consent applications across planning regimes and providing senior technical guidance to clients while managing multidisciplinary teams.

You will act as a Project Director for major projects, negotiate with statutory bodies, and contribute to business growth.

Qualifications

• Leading consenting inputs on major projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs etc).
• Providing strong technical leadership and advice to clients and managing their consenting requirements.
• Co-ordinating the preparation and submission of consent applications under Town and Country Planning Acts and related regimes.

Responsibilities

• Leading consenting inputs on major projects and coordinating submissions.
• Providing technical leadership and client advisory services across infrastructure projects.
• Managing complex negotiations with statutory bodies and stakeholders.
• Acting as Planning Expert Witness at DCO examinations or hearings.
• Supporting new work opportunities in line with growth strategy.
• Line management and mentoring of colleagues on project delivery roles.
