Carrington West is recruiting an experienced Infrastructure Planner to support sustainable development and infrastructure planning across the North West. This hybrid role requires 3 days onsite weekly at Lingley Mere, Warrington, and 37 hours per week.

You will influence development projects, planning policy and long-term infrastructure investment, ensuring water and wastewater needs for local communities are met.

Qualifications

• Commercially aware planning professional with strong technical knowledge.
• Experience in town planning, infrastructure, utilities or development management.
• Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation, policy and processes.
• Experience with local plans, major planning applications or strategic infrastructure projects.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
• Understanding of environmental planning, sustainability and infrastructure requirements.
• Degree in Town Planning or equivalent relevant experience.
• RTPI or RICS membership, or willingness to work towards it.
• Full UK driving licence and flexibility for occasional travel.
• Experience in water, wastewater, energy, transport or regulated infrastructure sectors advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Provide specialist planning advice on development proposals, infrastructure requirements and planning policy.
• Respond to complex planning applications, including major infrastructure projects.
• Review local plans and prepare representations to influence planning policy.
• Build relationships with local authorities, developers, regulators and stakeholders.
• Assess the impact of regional growth on future infrastructure and land requirements.
• Represent the organisation at planning examinations, consultations and stakeholder meetings.
• Collaborate with engineering, asset management, property and legal teams.
