A local government agency in Scotland is seeking an experienced SharePoint Administrator to lead the SharePoint rollout and work on the M365 deployment. The ideal candidate will manage complex IT projects and supervise other IT professionals. A degree in Computer Studies or significant experience in related fields is required. The role offers a salary range of £43,468 - £47,356 per year on a full-time permanent basis.

We are looking to recruit an experienced SharePoint Administrator to take on an important new role in the Digital Services Team. You will also be involved with our wider M365 deployment. Working with a small team in a busy environment, developing, and administering our SharePoint rollout across the Council.
Under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure Check.
KNOWLEDGE
Jobholders will be educated to degree level in Computer Studies, or a similar relevant subject, or be able to demonstrate extensive relevant experience.
Experience of working in a leading role within a team of IT professionals is essential, as is a demonstrable high level knowledge and substantial practical experience of Windows server technologies and a range of other infrastructure technologies such as VOIP, Citrix or security technologies.
Jobholder must hold a degree in a computing related discipline or evidence of equivalent competency and be able to demonstrate experience and skills in the implementation and management of technology and change including specifically:
In addition, experience of working in the operations area of Digital Services, with evidence of a high level of competency in implementation and support of infrastructure technologies.
Experience of operating a multi-vendor environment is preferred. Some experience of developing technical staff is desirable.
The jobholder is expected to keep up to date with advances in information technology and changes in practice with a view to assessing the appropriateness of developments to the Authority.

Based on 36 hours over 52 weeks per year, the minimum actual salary for this position is £43,468.03 per annum.
Compliance with the mandatory Cabinet Office PSN (Public Sector Network) Code of Connection requires the Council to meet a baseline personal security standard. This requires completion of a disclosure check for all employees who can access official information. The fee for this PSN Disclosure check will be met by the council.

Once you have viewed your certificate you will be allowed to share this with your employer and it is only available for 14 days from the first day you have viewed the certificate.
