Spinwell Global Limited seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to deliver and maintain secure, resilient infrastructure for a public sector client. You will champion security best practices and drive automation to strengthen operations.

You will work with a team of infrastructure professionals to design, implement and secure environments, with quarterly in-person sessions and flexible remote work where possible.

Formación

• Proven experience delivering secure, resilient infrastructure and platform services.
• Experience with security best practices across design, config, and operation.
• Familiarity with incident response, vulnerability management, and monitoring.

Location: Cardiff (Remote possible - but will be expected to come to business every quarter)

Spinwell is recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SENIOR INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER

You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining secure, resilient infrastructure and platform services across the client. You will champion security best practices, ensuring that systems are designed, configured, and operated to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of organisational data and services. Taking a user, service, and risk-focused approach, you will drive continuous improvement and automation to strengthen security, resilience, and operational effectiveness.

Working as part of a team of infrastructure specialists and engineers, you will build, administer, support, and maintain secure and compliant solutions in line with departmental policies, security standards, and industry best practice. A significant proportion of the role will involve working with teams across the organisation to provide expert advice on secure environments, configuration management, identity and access management, infrastructure hardening, vulnerability management, monitoring, and incident response. You will help ensure that critical services remain secure, available, and resilient against evolving cyber threats.
