Job Description:

Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer

NRL are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in virtualization, storage, backups, and VDI to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem solver who can work independently and lead infrastructure projects with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, implement, and manage resilient infrastructure solutions that ensure optimal reliability, scalability, and performance.
2. Installing and configuring server hardware and software, ensuring systems are optimized for performance and security.
3. Performing regular updates, patches, and backups to keep servers running smoothly and securely.
4. Maintaining records of server configurations, procedures, and changes for reference and compliance.
5. Collaborate with other IT teams to support applications and ensure seamless integration.

Requirements:

1. Excellent knowledge of SAN solutions primarily NetApp build/configure & maintain.
2. Excellent knowledge of hosting platforms Dell PowerEdge Server & Cisco USC.
3. Excellent knowledge in the management and maintenance of VMWare based virtualised estates.
4. Clusters / HA / Replication / Distributed Switches / vCenter upgrades & host patching.
5. Experience in Veeam and other Backup technologies.
6. Experience in migrations for data & infrastructure.
7. Good understanding of automation and scripting.
8. Skilled in using monitoring tools - SolarWinds.
9. Good understanding of Active Directory on a GPO level.
10. Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, iSCSI).
