Job description

My client, a specialist UK based Architectural and Civil Engineering Consultancy, is searching for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their design team based in Reading.

It is essential that applicants have a BSc/BEng or an MSc/MEng in Civil Engineering and have achieved or are working towards Chartered status.

It is also essential for applicants to have experience completing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies, road design and detailed residential drainage designs for S104 and S106 using Microdrainage, Flow, PDS and Civils 3D.

It is also beneficial for applicants to have experience managing projects and mentoring team members.

Typical Responsibilities:

1. Residential, Commercial and Industrial Development Projects, urban regeneration projects (including rain gardens).
2. Drainage and highways designs in respect of Section 38 and Section 278 Schemes using Microdrainage and PDS.
3. Minor road and junction design for residential developments using AutoTrack.
4. SuDS and sewerage designs using Microdrainage in respect of section 104 and section 106.
5. Calculations, Reports and Surveys.
6. Feasibility Studies.
7. Train and mentor team members.
8. Checking and amend technical drawings.
9. Promote the services of the company and manage projects.
10. Frequent liaison with Private Sector Clients, Contractors and Housing Developers.
