Job summary

Dexory is hiring a senior infrastructure engineer to define, build, and operate the infrastructure and tooling for our rapidly growing business. Our office is in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, and we operate on a flexible hybrid basis with onsite presence about once every four weeks.

We offer a chance to lead CI/CD pipelines, multi-cloud infra, Terraform Cloud, and developer tooling to enable high-throughput delivery while ensuring reliability and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Significant experience, typically 7+ years in DevOps, infra or platform engineering.
• Hands-on with AWS, Azure or GCP.
• IaC experience, Terraform preferred.
• Experience with containers (Docker) and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD tooling and GitHub Actions experience.
• Automation frameworks and self-service tooling such as Backstage.
• Strong Go or TypeScript programming skills.
• Cross-cloud experience and security/hardening awareness.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and developer tooling for multiple teams.
• Enable self-service, repeatable deployments, and high-throughput delivery.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across providers using Kubernetes for apps and services.
• Provision, monitor, optimise cost, performance, and reliability.
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform on Terraform Cloud.
• Establish standards for environments and increase automation.
• Support monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting via Grafana.
• Support production health, incident analysis and rapid recovery.
• Drive DevOps best practices across teams including security hardening.
• Mentor and guide less-senior DevOps and infra engineers.

Job description

Salary: £100,000 - 100,000 per year

Requirements:

• Significant experience, typically 7 years, in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering roles in a high-growth tech company or equivalent
• Strong hands-on expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience with infrastructure as code, ideally Terraform
• Experience with containers, including Docker
• Experience with container orchestration, including Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD tooling
• Proven track record of building and managing CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions
• Experience with automation frameworks and self-service developer tooling, such as Backstage
• Strong programming skills in either Go or Typescript
• Experience with configuration management tools
• Experience working across multiple cloud platforms rather than being tied to a single vendor
• Experience in robotics or start-up/scale-up environments is desirable

Responsibilities:

• Manage cloud infrastructure across a wide range of cloud providers using Kubernetes for user-facing applications and internal services
• Provision, monitor, optimise cost, performance, and reliability
• Build infrastructure as code with Terraform on Terraform Cloud
• Establish standards for repeatable environments, reduce manual processes, and increase automation
• Support monitoring, logging, observability, and alerting systems via Grafana
• Support production health, incident detection, root‑cause analysis, and rapid recovery
• Drive a culture of DevOps best practice across teams, including infrastructure reliability, deployment velocity, automated testing, rollback strategies, and security/infrastructure hardening
• Mentor and guide less‑senior DevOps and infrastructure engineers
