Job summary

Vanquish Tech in London is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to support a key client, providing 3rd line infrastructure support to over 250 users and delivering high-quality infrastructure projects.

You will work with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure a reliable, secure, and high-performing IT environment, mentoring juniors and collaborating with vendors in a hybrid working setup.

Qualifications

• Excellent Windows Server and Windows client OS administration
• Advanced Active Directory and Group Policy experience
• Azure, O365 and Exchange Online administration
• VMware virtualization experience
• Storage Area Network administration experience
• SQL Server administration including backups
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
• Firewall/Switch/Router administration (Palo Alto or Cisco) experience
• Application packaging and deployment experience
• Desktop image deployment and patch deployment setup
• Identity & access management solutions (OneLogin/Duo/Okta/ADFS) proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide BAU infrastructure support to internal stakeholders
• Ensure high availability and performance of infrastructure components
• Serve as a key internal technical resource for major change projects
• Collaborate with 3rd party vendors for service provision and project delivery
• Act as escalation point for complex issues
• Monitor overall health of infrastructure and respond to alerts
• Scope, design and implement new systems
• Produce and maintain high-quality system and project documentation
• Monitor security threat alerts and respond appropriately
• Provide feedback to Head of Infrastructure on projects and change management
• Mentor and guide junior team members

Vanquish Tech is looking for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team, supporting one of our key clients. The role involves providing 3rd line infrastructure support to over 250 users, alongside designing and delivering high-quality infrastructure projects. We are seeking a proactive, technically skilled professional who can work collaboratively with IT teams and business stakeholders to ensure exceptional service delivery and maintain a reliable, secure and high-performing IT environment.

TheRole

• Provisionof BAU Infrastructure support to internal stakeholders.
• Ensure optimal availability and performance ofcritical infrastructure components and applications.
• Actas a key internal technical resource for major change projects.
• Workclosely with 3 rd party vendors to ensure service provision andproject delivery falls in line with business expectations.
• Actas an escalation point for complex support issues.
• Monitorthe overall health of the infrastructure and responding to alerts as required.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications

• ExcellentWindows OS systems administration knowledge (Windows Server 2012 R2/2016/ 2019,Windows 10)
• Strong experience managing Windowsdomain environments at an advanced level (Active Directory, Group Policy,Certificate Service etc) .
• Strong Azure, O365 and Exchange Onlineadministration skills.
• Extensive experience working in aheavily virtualised environment (VMWare v6.5+ ideally).
• Previous experience administering andmaintaining Storage Area Networks.
• Basic SQL server administrationincluding installation, access management and backups/restores.
• Goodgeneral knowledge of network administration (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
• Previousexperience working of firewall, switch, or router administration (Palo Alto orCisco Preferred).
• Goodexperience with application packaging and deployment.
• Experiencesetting up and maintaining desktop image deployment solutions.
• Experiencesetting up and maintaining patch deployment solutions.
• Demonstrableexperience of working with an identity & access management solution (suchas OneLogin, Duo, Okta, ADFS ).
