Senior Infrastructure Engineer - SharePoint

Location:

Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, Nottingham, Oldham, Swansea

Salary:

Up to A£57,400 per annum

The Role

DVSA plays a crucial role in maintaining safety standards on the roads, conducting tests, and overseeing vehicle-related matters in the UK.

The Digital Workspace team designs, builds, and supports the core devices and software used by colleagues across the country. They deliver highly automated, fully cloud-managed Microsoft and Apple solutions, with a strong focus on Digital Employee Experience, continuous improvement, security, and sustainability. They leverage SharePoint as a central platform for collaboration, document management, and intranet services. Additionally, they integrate Microsoft Teams for communication and teamwork, and OneDrive for secure, cloud-based file storage and sharing.

They are looking for a SharePoint expert working in the Digital Workplace space, capable of configuring, deploying, and managing SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams workloads to enhance collaboration. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Drive improvements to deliver new and updated core infrastructure services based on business and user needs to ensure maximum value.
  2. Maintain oversight of the evolving infrastructure landscape by monitoring publications, releases, and participating in external steering groups and supplier events.
  3. Maintain core infrastructure services by:
    1. Identifying problems through analysis and supporting resolution, including documenting causes and solutions.
    2. Implementing functional, performance, and quality improvements to the infrastructure estate.
