Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineer – Bath

Buro Happold is recruiting Senior Civil Infrastructure Engineers to join our Infrastructure Group at our Bath office.

Working as part of the UK Infrastructure Group, you will provide solutions to local infrastructure and utility needs, help plan and design cities worldwide, and offer an integrated multidisciplinary service throughout the whole project life cycle—from planning through to design and implementation.

Key Duties

• Managing the delivery of multidisciplinary projects, balancing demands and priorities, and reviewing civil infrastructure design from project proposition through to construction.
• Planning project resources and finances, monitoring job financial performance.
• Managing and mentoring technical staff, contributing to planning team workload and developing junior team members.
• Preparing and reviewing technical reports, specifications, and schedules.
• Contributing to the winning of new business and securing the group’s project pipeline.

Skills & Experience

• Strong technical background in infrastructure design with a demonstrable track record in a core discipline (Highways, Utilities or Sustainable Drainage).
• Experience of successful multidisciplinary project delivery, managing and motivating teams, and excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel and drive continuous quality improvement in our work.
• Experience in AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroDrainage.
• Member of a relevant professional institution.
