We are currently searching for a Cloud DevOps Engineer to join the team of a multinational global enterprise IT solutions company. Role Outline:

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you’ll be responsible for providing both technical support and leadership in the creation and delivery of technology solutions designed to meet customers’ business needs.

A Cloud DevOps Engineer is responsible for the development and operational aspects of a company's cloud computing infrastructure. They work with developers to ensure that applications are deployed and operated in a cloud environment.

Candidate must be UK-based and eligible for SC Clearance.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct investigations and tests of complex software systems to enhance performance or to investigate and resolve significant issues.
• Review completion and implementation of technical products to ensure success and timeliness.
• Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
• Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel.
• Provide technical consultation to other organizations; interact with senior customer personnel and internal senior management.
• Provide first-level support to the customer base.

Experience:

• Background in automating application deployment and configuration management.
• Experience with automation/configuration management tools such as RedHat, Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
• Knowledge of IAC technologies like CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Experience with containerisation and orchestration technologies (Docker & Kubernetes).
• Good knowledge of internet communication concepts and protocols - TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP.
• Experience deploying Continuous Integration solutions.
• Awareness of security considerations in web application deployment.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Strong AWS knowledge including EC2, EKS, RDS, Aurora, networking, and cost management.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work to brief with limited supervision.
• Creative in applying new technology to build innovative solutions.
• Knowledge of modern programming languages, at least one of Bash, Python, Ruby, Perl, C, C++, Java, PowerShell.

Professional Characteristics:

• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to resolve highly complex software design issues and create new software.
• Good communication skills to interact with team members and senior stakeholders.
